Cardstock: Light Blue (1) 7” x 10”; White, Dark Blue, Medium Blue
Stamps: Great Impressions
Small Paint Brush
Fold the light blue cardstock in half the long way to make the card.
Ink the entire masculine phrase image with Bermuda Blue ink.
Using a Sponge, ink over “road trips” and “fisherman” with Corn Flower ink – to highlight these words. Stamp this image onto a white piece of cardstock and trim down. Layer over a piece of dark blue cardstock and then a piece of medium blue cardstock, creating 1/8” borders around the white layer. Assemble with double-sided adhesive.
Using the Circulate molding mat and a sponge applicator, ink different random circles first with Bermuda Blue ink and then the remaining circles with Corn Flower ink. It’s ok if the darker blue runs slightly into the lighter blue areas.
Stamp the inked mat onto a white piece of cardstock. Trim around the design, matching the width to the dark blue layer of the stamped phrase piece.
Layer over a piece of dark blue cardstock that is the same width as the medium blue layer of the stamped phrase piece.
Using double-sided adhesive, adhere both layered pieces to the center of the light blue folded card, leaving some vertical space between the pieces.
Using the Reef Rendezvous mat, cover the mat with a thin layer of white polymer clay. Press evenly and firmly. Carefully peel off the clay and turn over (press the edges of the image area down to flatten if necessary).
Using a small paint brush, ink the fish images with Bermuda Blue ink. Clean the brush and highlight some areas of the fish images again with Corn Flower ink. Make each fish image look a litte different.
Let the inked clay dry completely for a day or two in open air.
Using scissors, carefully cut out four of the clay fish images and smooth the edges with your fingers. Assemble to the card front over the stamped Circulate piece with double-sided adhesive.
