Ink one of the solid daisy stamps from the “daisies4you” set generously with Violet ink from thePinwheel Petal Point® and stamp onto the bottom of the 8¼” x 8¼” panel. Without re-inking, smack the stamp across the paper 3 to 4 times in the same general area until no more ink transfers. This creates the illusion of an image in the background. (This is Cathie’s “Smack Down” technique.) Use Stylus white tip to blend more Violet ink in and around images. Repeat until there is a nice band of color along the bottom of the page, as shown.
Using a different Stylus tip and a clean stamp, repeat step 1 with Royal Blue then Green, Lime, Canary and Orange ink to create the gorgeous rainbow layered background seen here. Be sure to clean the stamp and use a fresh white tip when changing colors. Blend the colors between the rows so you cannot tell where one ends and the other begins.
Place panel between two sheets of newsprint and iron with a hot dry iron until ink is dry.
Following manufacturer’s instructions, create a frame from the 7¼” x 7¼” cardstock piece using the correct sized die from the Nestablilites® Grand Label 1 set. Use the Stylus handle and white tip to color the frame completely with Scarlet ink. Emboss the frame with Clear embossing powder.
Cut three 6” pieces of ribbon. Place one ribbon piece flat onto the Lime inkpad and use the Lime Stylus tip to gently press the ribbon into the pad to color the ribbon. Move and press the ribbon across the inkpad until the ribbon is completely colored front and back. Color the other two pieces in the same manner to create Green and Royal Blue ribbons. Place ribbon between two sheets of newsprint and iron with a hot dry iron until ink is dry.
On the 3½” x 1½” piece of cardstock, use the “Smack Down” technique with a solid daisy stamp to create a mostly Canary background with a touch of Orange along bottom edge, as shown. Place piece between two sheets of newsprint and iron with a hot dry iron until ink is dry.
Ink the “too adorable” sentiment stamp from the “youare2kind” set with Black ink and stamp on the Canary/Orange cardstock piece. Emboss with Clear powder.
Use the black marker and ruler to edge all the cardstock, as shown. Cut the ribbon into 3” sections and tie to edges of the frame, as shown. Use your favorite double sided tape and foam adhesive to assemble the page.
