Directions:

  1. Cut a 5” X 10” piece of kraft cardstock and fold in half to make card.
  2. Using Jumbo Handle, Stamp Wheel and Wicked Black Dye Ink, roll design on a 3” X 6” piece of red cardstock. Trim red piece to 2” X 5”. Cut a 2 ¼” X 5” piece of black cardstock and layer red stamped piece on it. Turn card so that fold is to the left, then adhere stamped and matted piece just above bottom edge of card as shown.
  3. Use Magnetic Spacer Plate to nest largest and next to largest dies; cut and emboss 1 frame using black cardstock and 1 using kraft. Use largest die to cut a piece of acrylic; trim about ?” around all sides. Place next to largest die on Magnetic Spacer Plate, top with card. Adjust die and card so that a window will be cut about ¾” down from top of card and centered left to right. Hint: Use temporary tape runner to hold Spacer Plate and card in place while you run them through the Spellbinders™ die cut machine.
  4. Cut a 3” square of acrylic; ink butterfly stamp with Wicked Black Dye Ink and stamp in the center of the 3” square and the die cut acrylic piece. Carefully use heat gun to set ink. Keep the heat gun moving around, and alternate heating and cooling pieces until the ink is set.
  5. Cut out stamped butterfly from 3” square. Then use Firecracker to fill in butterfly wings on both pieces. Use Frost to fill in background on die cut piece. Let both pieces dry, then repeat to add 2 more layers; let dry completely.
  6. Apply a thin line of 3-in-1 glue to edges of die cut acrylic piece and adhere in window of card. Adhere black frame to front of card and kraft frame to inside of card front. Bend up wings of cut out butterfly and use 3-in-1 glue to adhere to body of butterfly in window; add clear rhinestone for head. Ink sentiment and circle using Wicked Black Ink, stamp on white cardstock and cut out.
  7. Cut 2 – 1 ¼” pieces of ribbon and cut ends at a slant. Adhere ribbon to the back of sentiment tag on right side. Use foam dimensional dots to adhere tag to lower right corner of window as shown.
  8. Paint 2 large flowers using Firecracker and 3 smaller flowers using Frost, set aside to dry. When dry, apply 1 red and 1 white flower to the upper left corner of the frame, and 1 red and 2 white to lower right corner of frame – at top of sentiment as shown.
