  1. Following manufacturer’s instructions, use Big Shot™ to create the following diecuts.
    a. Two “Blocks/Cubes” from mat board
    b. One “Flowers w/Heart” from Canvas
    c. One “Leaves” from Canvas
    d. One Flowers w/Heart” from plastic packaging that the die arrived in
    e. One “Leaves” die from plastic packaging
  2. Side #1: Letterpress technique:
    a. Ink the raised areas of Flowers embossing folder with Melon ColorBox® Blends so that the color is on the raised design and the flower design is recessed and not inked.
    b. Place the first square of one of the cut mat boards into inked embossing folder and run folder through Big Shot™ following manufacturer’s instructions. The square will be embossed and inked at the same time.
  3. Side #2: Stamping with ColorBox® Blends:
    a. Mask the edges of the two ends of the block with Post-it® notes so only the middle block is exposed.
    b. Ink Barn Wood stamp with Flagstone and stamp the exposed middle block of the mat board.
    c. Ink the canvas flower with random swipes of ink from Sunshine, Melon, Leaf and Bay. Heat set with iron.
    d. Ink two smallest canvas leaves with Leaf. Ink leaf stamp from Flower Sentiments set with Ebony and stamp onto leaves. Heat set with iron.
    e. Stack flower layers and secure with brad. Add leaves beneath flower and adhere to block with Fabri-Tac™.
  4. Side #3: Inking on Velvet:
    a. Cut 2 7/8” square of white velvet adhesive sheet and adhere to mat board square with iCraft adhesive.
    b. Mask off bordering square with Post-It® note. Ink velvet with Melon, Leaf, Tutu, Sunshine and Bay, building up color on the edges of the block.
    c. Ink and stamp flower, leaves, stem and “Give Thanks” sentiment all with Ebony on velvet background, positioned as shown.
  5. Side #4: ColorBox® Blends and Embossed Images:
    a. Place the first square of second cut mat board into Starflower embossing folder. Run folder through Big Shot™ following manufacturer’s instructions so only one square at the end of the block strip is embossed.
    b. Use Melon, Leaf, Tutu, Sunshine and Bay to lay down and blend in a light coat of ink over the raised design.
  6. Side #5: Edging with ColorBox® Blends:
    a. Ink mat board letter A from Block/Cube/Bank die with Bay. Ink the flower stamp with Ebony and stamp onto letter A.
    b. Adhere A onto middle square, as shown, with iCraft Adhesive. Use Black marker and free hand the “r” and “t” to create the word ART. Further embellish the “r” and “t” with Ciao Coral Sea marker.
    c. Use Flagstone to lightly ink the border of the box.
  7. Side #6: Masking and Coloring:
    a. Mask last block off with Post-It®.
    b. Place plastic packaging stencil over block and use inks to lightly swirl color inside the flower stencil. Build up layers and colors within flowers. Add leaves in Leaf. When done inking, go over outer edges of flowers with black marker and add in dots for the centers of flowers and dots on leaves as shown.
  8. Assembling:
    a. Fold on each score line to break the fibers and make the board easier to manipulate. Make two “U” shapes, one of which will be turned one 90 degrees to fit together to form a cube shape.
    b. Add strips of iCraft Adhesive to outsides tabs on cubes except one (so you can open it). Remove release paper from tape.
    c. Adhere tab on one side to middle section of second side. Fold over and adhere other tab on opposite side. Bring up tabs and tuck in to form cube. Press to secure.
