Materials and Supplies:

  • ColorBox® Art Screen - Rounded
  • My First ColorBox® Mini-stamps (Sealife)
  • My First ColorBox® Inks (Red, Blue, Turquoise, Light Blue, Yellow Gold, Black)
  • ColorBox® Art Daubers
  • Bazzill cardstock
  • Scor-Pal
  • Scor-Tape
  • Spellbinders dies

  1. Cut cardstock to 8.5" x 12". With the 12" length across Scor-Pal, score at 2.75", 5.5", 8.25" and 11".
  2. Cut scored piece to 6.5" x 12". Set aside strip for later use.
  3. Rotate the 6.5" x 12" panel to the left and score at 2.75".
  4. Cut to the 2.75" score line along each of the perpendicular score lines.
  5. At the 11" score line, cut up at a slight angle and remove the strip thereby creating a tab.
  6. Cut the 2" x 12" strip at 4.75" from the end with the 1" score line. Cut this strip in half lengthwise, creating 2 strips, each 1" x 4.75".
  7. Place ColorBox® Art Screen (Rounded) on white cardstock. Using ColorBox® Art Daubers, ink the Rounded Art Screen with Blue, LIght Blue and Turquoise inks, allowing the colors to overlap in some of the circles. Reposition the ColorBox® Art Screen and repeat until white cardstock is covered.
  8. Cut cardstock from Step 7 to decorate each panel. 2 back panels (2.5" x 6.25"), 3 lower panels (2.5" x 3.5", 6 upper panels (2.5" x 2.5". Ink all edges with Blue ink.
  9. Fold on the 5.5" score line and attach the tab inside the box with Scor-Tape. Adhere all cut panels, aligning the back panel so that it covers the tab.
  10. Place Scor-Tape on the ends of the 1" x 4.75" strips. Adhere inside the box, aligning them with the opening.
  11. Die cut the greenery twice from the green cardstock and adhere on piece to each strip.
  12. Stamp crabs in Red in 4 times. Stamp whales in Blue ink 4 times. Stamp seahorses in Gold ink 2 times. Stamp octopus in Yellow in 2 times.
  13. Die cut each stamped image into circles using Spellbinders dies. Cut plastic sheet protector into 1/2" wide strips. Adhere 2 matching circles to sheet protector strips. Ink the circles with the same ink used to stamp the image. Place Scor-Tape on the strips of sheet protectors and adhere to the box, placing some higher and some lower, and mixing them about the greenery. Be sure the images do not get damaged as the card folds - reposition as necessary.
  14. Using left over cardstock from Step 7, stamp sentiment in Black ink. Ink edges with Blue ink and mat with blue cardstock.
